Governor Patterson commencement speaker at the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center's graduation

Governor David Paterson was commencement speaker at the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center's graduation ceremony held at the Eastman Theatre on Monday, May 18, 2009.

The Governor urged the graduates to remember where they came from and to remember their friends, teachers, and anyone who helped them along the way. The Governor also encouraged them to "give it back" to the same community and to stay in New York State.

More than 400 students received certificates of completion from the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center career training and academic preparation programs.
