Distinguished Alumni
For most students, success is defined by achieving a degree or prestigious position, a noteworthy career or financial and personal gain. The many alumni of the Educational Opportunity Centers (EOCs) of the State University of New York (SUNY) define success in these terms as well – but add to that a sense of triumph at often overcoming significant personal obstacles.
Each of our alumni makes an ongoing effort to give back not only to their local EOC, but also throughout their communities by inspiring others with their stories – providing guidance and lending a helping hand where they can. They never forget the many ways in which their EOC helped them get to where they are today. These alumni are living proof of the power of self-determination, setting goals and realizing dreams.
